Happy Monday!
It is still January and wondering how your resolutions are going? It’s time to check in on your New Year’s weight-loss resolutions. Just remember that it takes time to create new healthy habits. If you’re frustrated about not seeing results, just be patient with yourself! Take one day at a time and you will see positive outcomes!
Have you hit “the wall”, that imaginary plateau where your weight seems to be stuck?
Here are a few tips from Taste for Life magazine to get your diet back on track:
- Adopt a Mediterranean-style diet. – Maintaining a largely plant-based diet that balances lean proteins, Omega-3 rich fats, whole grains, & vibrant, colorful fruits & vegetables, aids in balancing blood sugar levels & lowering cholesterol.
- Enjoy calcium-rich foods. – Dietary calcium rich leafy greens & probiotic filled yogurt may help reduce abdominal fat.
- Get more fiber. – Fiber rich foods, such as dark leafy greens, flax & chia seeds, & pumpkin can promote weight loss by increasing satiety. You feel full faster and, in turn, eat less!
